Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct governs your participation in InstaDeep Ltd’s (“we,” “us” or “our”) GeoAI Hack (“GeoAI Hack”). 

By registering for GeoAI Hack, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Code of Conduct.  If you do not agree to this Code of Conduct, you may not participate in GeoAI Hack. Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in your removal from the GeoAI Hack at our sole discretion.

Purpose: Participants must adhere to a high standard of conduct throughout the GeoAI Hack. This includes treating all participants, organisers, mentors and judges with respect and courtesy. Discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification and/or removal from the event. 

1. Respect and Inclusivity

• Treat all participants with respect, kindness, and empathy, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, nationality, or any other characteristic.
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome to contribute and express themselves freely.
• Be mindful of your language and behaviour, avoiding any form of harassment, discrimination, or intimidation.

2. Proposed ideas and solutions 

All ideas, suggestions, and solutions must align with any guidance provided by us and promote the spirit of collaboration and innovation, avoiding anything that could potentially be harmful, offensive, or unethical. 

3. Collaboration and Teamwork

• Embrace the spirit of collaboration and teamwork by actively engaging with other participants, sharing ideas, and offering assistance when needed.
• Respect the contributions of all team members and strive to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the project.

4. Integrity and Honesty

• Maintain integrity and honesty in all aspects of GeoAI Hack event, including but not limited to project development, interactions with other participants, and adherence to rules and guidelines.
• Refrain from engaging in any form of cheating, plagiarism, or dishonest behaviour that undermines the integrity of the event.

5. Safety and Well-being

• Prioritise the safety and well-being of yourself and others throughout the duration of GeoAI Hack event.
• Report any concerns or incidents of misconduct to event organisers or staff members promptly, and co-operate with any investigations or resolutions.

6. Responsible Use of Resources

• Respect the facilities, equipment, and resources provided, using them responsibly and in accordance with any guidelines or instructions provided.
• Be mindful of the environmental impact of your actions and strive to minimise waste and promote sustainability wherever possible.

7. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing GeoAI Hack’s venue and activities, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, data protection, and health and safety regulations.

8. Feedback and Improvement

• Provide constructive feedback to help improve future GeoAI Hack events and ensure the continued success of the community.
• Actively participate in post-event surveys or discussions to share your experiences and suggestions for enhancement.

9. Reporting

If you feel uncomfortable or think there may be a potential violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately by either contacting us by email at legal@instadeep.com or contacting one of our staff at the GeoAI Hack event. All reporters have the right to remain anonymous.

10. Compliance and Enforcement

You are expected to follow this Code of Conduct at all GeoAI Hack venues, online interactions in relation to the event and GeoAI Hack-related social events.

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to warnings, expulsion from the event, and prohibition from participating in future events.

We reserve the right to enforce this Code of Conduct and take appropriate action to address any violations.
